Redesigning disc golf courses are our bread and butter!
Essential Discs focuses on making sure that courses are SAFE, SUSTAINABLE, and FLOW naturally around your property.
Too often landowners have rushed to put a disc golf course in place and used an unqualified designer. This ends up with designs similar to that shown on the right.
Any designer should follow the PDGA guidelines and common sense when designing a course. Simple things like fairways should not cross one another, They should not cross walking paths, roads, or pass too near play areas and parking lots.
This is why we offer FREE SITE ASSESSMENTS prior to the design of any course to determine if your site could sustain a course. When a site is too small for a standard disc golf course it is wise to either not install one in the park or consider a Par 2 course.
Is it time for a Redesign?
Was your course installed before the year 2010?
Do park patrons complain of safety problems associated with your disc golf course?
Does your course violate the current PDGA design guidelines such as throwing over a walking trail or road?
Is your course in a multi-use park?
Is your course poorly rated on discgolfcoursereview.com and discgolfscene.com, or Udisc?
Do players constantly complain about the state of your course?
Have you developed other park improvements which now interfere with the original course?
Do your neighbors complain because discs are landing on their property regularly?
Is a section of your course unusable for a large part of the year?
Let us help you! We got our start as professional course designers by fixing individual holes and sometimes full courses to mitigate safety, routing, and environmental issues.
