This is our Professional and high level Amateur team of male players who represent us around the country. 



Essential Team

The Essential Team is our Pro touring team. Some only tour locally, others nationally. Look for these guys when you are on the course!

This team will be split into two teams for the 2025 season. If you are interested in joining the Essential Team, you can apply here for the 2025 season.

Micah Jones – #126135

Sponsored Player – Buford, GA

Micah is an up-and-coming talent in our sport. He played collegiate disc golf for two years while still in high school and was dual-enrolled at Toccoa Falls College. Now a Junior ar University of Georgia, Micah is looking to lead his team to a collegiate national championship. Not only is he smart, but his personality is infectious.

He is the kind of player who makes a bad round better. Micah was originally introduced to our honey and they immediately found a place in his bag. So when he heard we were interested in sponsoring him and going to bring new discs to market, he had one question. “Where do I sign?”

Travis Foreman – #32888

Sponsored Player – Gerrardstown, WV

Travis has been throwing discs for 21 years and in that time been sponsored by other companies both large and small. The discs produced by Essential are the primary reason he decided to come to Essential Discs.
At the end of the 2025 season, he has 107 PDGA Open Cashes. 10 PDGA Open Wins. 43 Aces.

2026 he will be officially able to play Masters.

Doug Payne – #7648

Sponsored Player – Pekin, IL

Doug was a team member from 2012 until 2017 when we stopped sponsoring players. When we decided to bring our team back, we just had to reach out to Doug.

He is such a great guy and has become family over the years that it didn’t make sense for us not to bring him back. After some medical complications in the last few years, Doug is ready to take the reins in the MP50 division and show that he is one of the best in Illinois.

In 2023 Doug picked up the 50th win of his career.

Jake Turner – #52450

Jake is just one of those guys who you can’t help but love to play with. As a previous member of Team Essential, he was a must when we were looking for people to bring back. Some people may think that he is a little weird, but that is one of the things that makes him so much fun.

With our new discs coming this year we expect him to find the confidence he had previously and take his game to the next level. We feel it says a lot about our company that not one or two but all three of the people we asked to come back didn’t hesitate to say yes to another year of sponsorship;

Logan Duncan – #293728

Sponsored Player – Lansing, MI

Logan is an up-and-coming player who has natural talent that you can expect to see on display soon. He just aged out of age-protected junior divisions.

Coming back from an injury in 2025, Logan is looing to accumulate multiple wins this year as he has been rehabbing and practicing all offseason.

Neil Bishop – #104998

Sponsored Player – Baldwyn, Mississippi

Neil has been playing disc golf casually since 2011 and professionally since 2018. He has played disc golf in all 50 states and has cashed in 108 out of 156 MPO events with 25 wins.
During the 2025 season, he achieved the highest PDGA rating of his career, with goals of exceeding this in 2026 as a member of the team.
He is excited to throw the entire lineup of Essential Discs.
